Kocsis wins audience award at Linz film festival

Ágnes Kocsis, Hungarian film director’s film Pal Adrienn won the audience award at the Crossing Europe film festival in Linz, the Hungarian Film Union told MTI on Sunday.

Etablished in 2004, the festival has grown to be a major event in Austria, with this year containing 160 feautures and short films between April 12 and 17. Pal Adrienn is the first Hungarian film that has been awarded by Crossing Europe.  The director was there personally to receive the prize at the award ceremony on Saturday evening.  Having its world premiere at the Canees Film Festival in 2010, it won the FIPRESCI award of the international film critics. This, second film of Kocsis, is a story of an overweight hospital nurse who discovers her identity when she meets her lon-lost friend from childhood again, Adrienn Pal.
